Resolving iCloud Drive Sync Issues on macOS

Files in iCloud Drive fail to upload, download, or stay in sync. 

Common Causes 

  • iCloud account glitches 
  • Low local or iCloud storage

Step-by-Step Solution 

Step 1: Check iCloud Drive Status 

  • System Settings → Apple ID → iCloud 
  • Ensure iCloud Drive is enabled 

 

Step 2: Restart iCloud Drive 

  • Toggle iCloud Drive OFF 
  • Restart Mac 
  • Toggle it back ON 

 

Step 3: Check Storage 

  • Ensure free space both locally and in iCloud 

 

Step 4: Sign Out and Back In (If Needed)
