How to Remove Malware and PUPs from Windows Safely

Malware and potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) can slow down Windows, display ads, steal data, or compromise security. 

Common Causes

Step-by-Step Solution 

Step 1: Disconnect From the Internet 

  • Unplug Ethernet or turn off Wi-Fi

Step 2: Run Microsoft Defender Full Scan 

  • Open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection 
  • Click Scan options 
  • Select Full scan → Scan now
