Step-by-Step Solution 

Step 1: Identify the Process Using CPU 

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager 
  • Go to the Processes tab 
  • Click the CPU column to sort descending 
  • Note the app or service consistently using high CPU 

 

Step 2: Restart or End the Problematic App 

  • Right-click the high-CPU process 
  • Select End task 
  • If it’s a needed app, reopen it and observe CPU again
