Step-by-Step Solution 

Step 1: Prepare Both Macs 

  • Update both Macs to latest compatible macOS 
  • Connect both to the same Wi-Fi or use a Thunderbolt cable 

 

Step 2: Use Migration Assistant 

  • Open Applications → Utilities → Migration Assistant on both Macs 
  • Choose From a Mac, Time Machine, or startup disk on the new Mac 
  • Select old Mac → enter verification code 

 

Step 3: Choose Data to Transfer 

  • Select Applications, User Accounts, Files, System Settings

Step 4: Verify After Completion
